A day trip rafting on the Alas River
A day trip rafting takes 3 to 5 hours depending on the water level on the Alas, the river next to the road through Ketambe.
After breakfast, around 9.30 am, the rafting trip will start at the junction of the Gurah river. The trip will take you through a rainforest setting and you will pass the Ketambe worldrenowed conservation research station. Lunch will be at the riverside. Next to excitement of rafting on white water, you will enjoy the mixed landscape of jungle, gardens and paddy fields of the shore lying villages.
Along this trip Orangutans, Maquaque, Hornbills, Green Bee-Eaters, Blue Headed Kingfisher and other wildlife can be seen. At the end you will return to JHONYJUNGLE HOME STAY.
